Yes, a font has made it on to my list of things I like. I suppose if anything is a clear indicator that I'm a geek, this would be it. Designed by Adrian Frutiger as a student in Zurich, Univers is a family of 21 fonts, of varying weights and styles. It was released in 1957. It's a remarkable system, and lends itself well to very clear designs both on screen and off. For a while there, everything I did was with this typestyle, as nothing could top it. I've since branched out, and with the web as my primary source of development, I tend toward "live" fonts that are installed on everyones computer. |
